Offizielle Release Notes

NTFSTool 4.7.2.3

Fixes the anonymous usage statistics that help us keep improving NTFSTool. Official Apple-notarized package. No reboot.

NTFSTool 4.7.2.2

The one-time administrator password prompt is now shown in your language and explains exactly why it is needed and that the password stays encrypted on your Mac. Before installing the NTFS driver, NTFSTool now tells you what will happen. The drive-ready check after mounting is smarter, and activation messages are translated. Official Apple-notarized package. No reboot.

NTFSTool 4.7.2.2

A smarter drive-ready check right after mounting: NTFSTool now waits for the drive to be fully available before verifying it, and records clearer diagnostics if something is off. Official Apple-notarized package. No reboot.

NTFSTool 4.7.2.1

Better after-purchase health checks, so any problem with a newly activated license or mounted drive is caught and fixed faster. Official Apple-notarized package. No reboot.

NTFSTool 4.7.2

NTFSTool now suggests a purchase only after it has confirmed that your mounted drive can really be written to. Plus the more reliable write verification and smoother cleanup of older components from 4.7.1. Official Apple-notarized package. No reboot.

NTFSTool 4.7.1

More reliable disk write verification right after a drive is mounted, and a smoother cleanup of components left by older versions that no longer asks for your administrator password unexpectedly. Official Apple-notarized package. No reboot.

NTFSTool 4.7.0

Back to pure, local, offline. All third-party network components have been removed, including the optional sharing helper, and NTFSTool now cleans up anything older versions left behind. After each mount, NTFSTool verifies that your drive can really be read and written. You now get 3 free mounts to try it, and fair regional pricing is shown at checkout. If you used the free sharing option before, you get 30 days of full access as a thank-you. Official Apple-notarized package. No reboot.

NTFSTool 4.6.12

If you chose the free option that shares a small amount of idle bandwidth, NTFSTool now keeps your choice across app updates and restarts the sharing helper more gently in the background, so it no longer asks you again after an update. Turning sharing off still stops it immediately and permanently. Official Apple-notarized package. No reboot.

NTFSTool 4.6.11

You no longer have to keep typing your Mac administrator password. NTFSTool now remembers it securely — encrypted and tied to your Mac, stored in the macOS Keychain — so you are asked once, and only again if you change your Mac login password. Settings storage is also more reliable and survives unexpected quits. If you start a purchase but do not finish it, NTFSTool now offers a gentle reminder to continue or enter your license key. Official Apple-notarized package. No reboot.

NTFSTool 4.6.10

More reliable mounting. If a disk is briefly busy, NTFSTool now recovers and retries automatically, so it mounts on the first try more often. If the administrator password is cancelled or mistyped, you get a clear message and a one-click way to try again. Background helper restarts are calmer and use fewer resources. The background helper now appears under the NTFSTool name and icon in macOS Login Items. The installer installs a single app in Applications so updates replace it in place. Official Apple-notarized package. No reboot.

NTFSTool 4.6.9

The built-in disk helper is now the current release. It keeps NTFS volumes ready in the background and checks status on a calm schedule, so everyday Mac use stays quiet. Mount, activation, and complete uninstall work as before. Official Apple-notarized package. Driverless. No reboot.

NTFSTool 4.6.8

Complete uninstall: one-click cleanup of leftover disk helpers, Login Items, and background services in Settings. Dragging the app to Trash cannot remove those system services. Official notarized package. Driverless current installer.

NTFSTool 4.6.x

Stability, mount reliability, and first-run success on Intel and Apple Silicon. Same driverless direction as 4.5: no kernel extension, no reboot for the current product line.
